HCL Technologies' Microsoft Business Applications Practice ("MBAP" formerly, PowerObjects) is seeking a Microsoft Dynamics 365 Program Manager to join their award winning and growing team. The Microsoft Dynamics 365 PM Consultant will act as the senior liaison between customer and internal teams on Microsoft Dynamics 365 projects (implementations, customizations, migrations, and more). The individual may be responsible for one or more aspects of the Program including project management, strategic roadmap, executive communications, risk/issue management, business analysis, configuration, data, training, and support. The candidate must be meticulously organized, be able to prioritize multiple demands in a fast-paced environment, and approach difficult conversations with ease. Program managers are highly skilled senior project management professionals who help organizations stay on schedule, on spec, and ultimately on an upward trajectory of success and growth by ensuring return on investment.

The D365 Program Management Consultant carries the ultimate responsibility for meeting the customer requirements and plays a key role in the relationship with the client.

Essential Functions

  • Lead large projects to enterprise programs independently or in collaboration with project manager(s)
  • Manage multiple workstreams or parallel projects with varied working teams
  • Establish the delivery methodology structure and execution playbook. Implement “Ways of Working” processes among the internal working team as well as cross-company team (other vendors may be included)
  • Provide guidance and oversight to the internal team. Ensure established norms, processes, and procedures are being adhered to and commitments are being met
  • Drive the creation of the program delivery roadmap and the related project plan(s)
  • Manage the relationship with the client
  • Remove roadblocks and actively identify and mitigate risks
  • Participate in design and architecture sessions with clients
  • Schedule and participate in meetings at the program/executive level
  • Ensure program success. Supplement the Project Director’s duties where and when needed
  • Analyze, evaluate, and overcome program risks and issues
  • Review change orders and other contracts
  • Assist technical consultants with architecting Microsoft Dynamics 365, related customizations, and reports to model the client’s organizational processes
  • Work closely with project sponsor, cross-functional teams, and assigned project managers to plan and develop scope, deliverables, required resources, work plan, budget, and timing for new initiatives
  • Facilitate team resources in the implementation of data migration and translation, data integration, training and custom development, and reports
  • Translate technical requirements into a work breakdown structure
  • Schedule work to be done and follow up to ensure completion within the project schedule and budget
  • Coordinate with offshore team on custom development work
  • Maintain organizational standards of satisfaction, quality, and performance. Develop program assessment protocols for evaluation and improvement
  • Guide the project along through monthly/weekly/daily communications with the customer. Conduct at least one weekly status meeting and send weekly status updates
  • Conduct design review sessions with the customer to demonstrate completed work and gather adjustments and changes

Required Skills and Experience

  • Ability to demonstrate PowerObjects’ Guiding Principles
  • Extensive hands-on experience successfully delivering large-scale Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O/AX Programs
  • Experience with a Microsoft Dynamics Partner; consulting experience required
  • Experience of PMI Project Management and AGILE/SCRUM methodologies
  • Up-to-date understanding of business processes, issues, and technology especially related to the operation of a sales, marketing, and customer service departments within an organization
  • Experience managing multiple workstreams, stakeholder groups, and parallel efforts
  • Experience helping client to prioritize project scope and drivers as well as plan and sequence work
  • Ability to articulate to clients the value and strategy of Organizational Change Management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication as well as facilitation skills
  • Professional demeanor
  • Ability to speak with ease with clients at all levels of within an organization.
  • Advanced use of Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, and Visio
  • Intermediate to Advanced experience with Azure Dev Ops, Jira, or another workflow management tool
