Hey, everyone, I'm Dan, and today, we're gonna talk projects. Specifically, we're gonna talk Project Service automation in Dynamics 365. But first, let me tell you a little bit about what Project Service actually is. Project Service for Dynamics 365 is a module that allows you to manage a project implementation end to end, from resourcing to task management, all the way to invoicing and everything in between.
That's not all. Project Service actually integrates with field services and customer services modules of Dynamics 365 to provide a wide range of functionality for project delivery teams. For instance, if you're a project manager, you're probably familiar with using Microsoft Project to track tasks, scheduling, and resource allocation for a given project implementation. Project Service for Dynamics 365 actually integrates directly with Microsoft Project, so you can funnel your project data right from CRM directly into your Microsoft Project file. Remember how it integrates with field services? Project Service can actually utilize the field services schedule board to easily and at a glance see your entire resource allocation for a given project team or for an entire delivery team.
Last but not least, Project Service does provide functionality out of box for time entry, expense tracking and invoice management. However, enterprise organizations using other ERP platforms don't worry. Project Service has actually been built to integrate cleanly with these applications, so you can provide your project teams with robust visual reporting from Project Service in Dynamics 365 all the while maintaining data integrity in critical backend ERP systems.
