Hey. My name is Genya Akselrod. I'm the Office 365 engineer here at Power Objects. Today, we're going to discuss Office 365 and Dynamics 365, and the role they play with each other within the Microsoft ecosystem.
A lot of clients ask me, "What is Office 365?" Essentially, it's Microsoft's cloud service. The apps you use day to day, like creating your documents in Microsoft Word, or creating your spreadsheets in Excel, or even your PowerPoints. Now, you can bring those with you on the go. You are no longer tied to your desk at work.
Think of it like this. Office 365 is a plate, an empty plate. Who likes an empty plate? No one, that's who. Think about the apps that you use day to day as the food. If you purchase Office 365, the certain licenses of it, you get other apps such as Power BI. You get Microsoft Flow, and of course, you can access your Dynamics 365.
Let's talk about how Office 365 and Dynamics 365 work together. With Dynamics 365 you get the CRM that you're used to. You get your sales, your marketing, your service modules. On top of that, you also get project service, you get field service solutions; and with the new licensing option you get access to Office 365 apps such as Power BI.
You can see how Microsoft thought ahead to integrate these two instances. For a deeper dive into Office 365, join me for my webinar What is Office 365 Really and Where Does Dynamics 365 Fit In? In the meantime, feel free to connect with me to chat. Thank you so much for joining me for the CRM Minute.
