Another Success Story: McWane

McWane is a global leader in water distribution solutions and infrastructure that are integral to the function and development of plumbing and clean water works systems throughout the world. They conduct business throughout North America and the rest of world. They continue to grow their product lines to meet the needs for safe, long-lasting, environmentally friendly infrastructure, as well as technological advancements for decades to come. McWane Plant & Industrial Division (MPI) is the division of McWane committed to manufacturing and distributing valves, hydrants, and waterworks fittings.

Despite McWane’s success on a global stage, they remain an old school operation that runs on hard work and handshakes. Once they decided to implement a CRM system, they simply weren’t the kind of folks who would be sold on fancy bells and whistles. Instead, MPI sought functionality and utility. And in a technology partner, they looked for experience and track record. All objectives were achieved by partnering with HCL-PowerObjects to implement Dynamics 365 Sales.

MPI’s old way of doing business relied on Microsoft Word and Excel to track sales and marketing activities. With Dynamics 365, they were able to centralize information and streamline internal processes. They also signed up for PowerSuccess, so their ongoing system maintenance and upgrade needs are met by a dedicated support engineer who is intimately familiar with the MPI organization, its goals and objectives, and the customizations of their Dynamics 365 system.

As MPI looks to the future, they want to begin using PowerPack add-ons – marketing automation tools they get from HCL-PowerObjects for free as PowerSuccess subscribers. They also hope to integrate their legacy quoting system into Dynamics 365.
