PowerObjects, an HCL Technologies Company is seeking a Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations Technical Architect to join our award-winning and growing team. The Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O Technical Architect will be responsible for implementing the technical aspects of various modules of Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations application. The Dynamics 365 F&O Technical Architect will have a wider understanding of Finance & Operations business processes and will have a background of delivering large-scale ERP solutions. The candidate must be extremely detail-oriented, have the ability to multitask, be meticulously organised, and be able to prioritise multiple demands in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Functions

  • Ability to act as an interface/integration lead and able to demonstrate clear approach to methodology as well as technical capabilities.
  • Lead integration workshops with customers, documents requirements and designs appropriate solutions
  • Ability to act as data migration lead and able to demonstrate clear approach to methodology as well as technical capabilities. Leads data migration workshops with customers, documents requirements and designs appropriate solutions
  • Act as development lead and able to demonstrate a wide range of development skills. Be a strong advocate for adherence to standards and best practice. Understand the capabilities of the development team and schedule their work appropriately, providing support and assistance when needed
  • Oversee the infrastructure resource assigned to customer projects ensuring that they are adhering to established best practice and that robust, repeatable processes are adopted
  • Review documentation produced by the infrastructure team, ensuring that it is of sufficiently high quality
  • Provide required technical support to our customers during Dynamics 365 F&O implementations working with Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement Technical Architects on hybrid projects
  • Work with functional consultants as they design new functionality. Make recommendations for their proposed solutions ensuring that the design is effective, pragmatic and achievable
  • Act as quality gatekeeper for functional specifications ensuring that the development team is supplied with high quality specifications to work from
  • Write and review technical specification documentation
  • Design, develop, review and test customised code for Dynamics AX 2012/365 F&O as well as integrations to other applications.
  • Work with the application test team to ensure that they can effectively test the developed solutions
  • Works with client personnel to identify required changes and manages client expectations effectively if required
  • Identification of process related gaps would be an added advantage
  • Stay current on Dynamics 365 F&O and related technologies, particularly Azure stack technologies that support the solution
  • Ability to lead an offshore team and work with onshore teams effectively in a diverse environment
  • Identify client organisation's strengths and weaknesses and suggest areas of improvement
  • Ensures no deadlines of projects are slipped and takes ownership for given deadlines. Works effectively with Project Managers, updating them on progress of tasks and providing appropriate estimates
  • Mentor junior technical staff, sharing knowledge and experience to ensure that the team grows in experience and effectiveness
  • Expected to be flexible with time and capable of working in a process-oriented environment
  • Excellent communicator with ability to operate within cross functional teams

Required Skills and Experience

  • 12+ years of work experience with a minimum 6 years of experience with Dynamics AX 2012/365 F&O along with Infrastructure design hands-on knowledge
  • At least 3-5 end-to-end full life-cycle implementations of Dynamics AX / 365 F&O solutions
  • Experience in leading teams and managing operations
  • Demonstrates strong coding skill using Dynamics AX X++ and its related technologies/tools.
  • Experienced in AX 2012 and Dynamics 365 F&O
  • Good knowledge of web services and other integration technologies
  • Ability to travel 25% (2-3 days every other week)

Desired Skills

  • Solid Microsoft platform Software or IT experience, minimum of 5 years of professional experience
  • Windows Client/Server applications, Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft Dynamics server products, Microsoft certifications beneficial
  • Proven background with state-of-the art IT technologies including Service Oriented Architecture concepts
  • System performance measurement and optimization
  • Experience working with offshore teams
  • Experience with Microsoft Power Apps, Logic Apps, Power Automate, and Azure Functions
  • Exposure to Visual Studio Team Services
  • Exposure to Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement
  • Knowledge of installation and technical configuration of Dynamics platform components
  • Experience in reviewing Technical Design Document, Solution Architecture, Deployment, Operations guides, Readiness Plans
  • Knowledge of Power BI, SSRS, SSAS and SSIS
