HCL Technologies' Microsoft Business Applications Practice ("MBAP" formerly, PowerObjects) is seeking a Dynamics 365 Consultant in Training to join their award winning and growing team. After on the job training, the individual will be responsible for one or more aspects of D365 and Microsoft Business Applications projects including business analysis, configuration, data analysis, integration/interface analysis, training, and support. The candidate must be extremely detail-oriented, have the ability to multitask, be meticulously organised and be able to prioritise multiple demands in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Functions

  • Leads and manages small to medium-sized projects independently
  • Participates in design and architecture sessions with clients
  • Gathers and documents business processes (typically future state, occasionally current state)
  • Advises customers on best practices for CRM processes, user interface and architecture
  • Creates functional and technical specifications documentation for the project
  • Uses Microsoft Project to create a detailed project plan (Statement of Work) for the customer that includes time estimates for the tasks that will be completed as well as the full project schedule
  • Writes design specifications pertaining to various aspects of the project
  • Configures and customises the CRM system based on design specifications
  • Conducts system and end-to-end testing of the application
  • Develops and executes training for customer end-users and administrators
  • Guides the project through daily communications with the customer
  • Conducts regular status meetings (weekly, or more often as needed) and sends weekly status updates
  • Conducts design review sessions with the customer to demonstrate completed work and gather adjustments and changes

Key Measurements of Performance

  • Works as part of a team, with responsibility for individual areas of delivery, on projects of a variety of size and complexity
  • Participates in design and architecture sessions with clients
  • Gathers and documents business processes (some current state, mostly future state)
  • Advises customers on best practices for business processes taking in account usability and cross functional needs
  • Creates Functional Specifications and Business Process documentation for the project
  • Writes design specifications pertaining to various aspects of the project
  • Configures the application based on design specifications
  • Conducts system and end-to-end testing of the application
  • Develops and executes training for customer end-users and administrators
  • Guides the project along through daily communications with the customer
  • Participates in at least weekly status meetings (maybe more) and sends weekly status updates
  • Conducts design review sessions with the customer to demonstrate completed work and gather adjustments and changes

Required Skills and Experience

  • Exhibit our PowerObjects Guiding Principles
  • Education to A level or above qualification level
  • Professional experience, preferably with an up-to-date understanding of business processes and technology
  • Excellent verbal and written communication; meticulous organisational skills
  • Ability to interact with clients at all levels within an organisation
  • Advanced use and working knowledge of Microsoft Office: Project, Excel, Word, Visio, etc.
  • Passion for technology, across platforms
  • CRM or Finance experience or exposure would be a bonus
