HCL Technologies' Microsoft Business Applications Practice ("MBAP" formerly, PowerObjects)is seeking a Microsoft Dynamics 365 Technical Consultant to join their award-winning, global team. The Microsoft Dynamics 365 Technical Consultant is an important member of the technical workstream. This person must have a good level of knowledge on the out-of-the-box features and functionality, and be a champion of delivering against requirements using code-free solutions. They should also have extensive knowledge on Dynamics 365 SDK. They will stay up to date on the latest functionality offered by the platform and work with team members both in a project and practice context. They must possess excellent consultancy and communication skills and be capable of working with stakeholders. They must also have exposure to all aspects of the project lifecycle, from project inception and requirements gathering, to implementation and adherence to best practice, all the way through to testing, training, and support.

Essential Functions

  • Exhibit PowerObjects’ Guiding Principles
  • Help customers define and document processes when there are no processes in place
  • Implement related customisations and reports to model the client’s organisational processes as directed by the CE Senior Consultant based on the system architecture
  • Provide input and maintenance of functional and solution design/specification documents
  • Provide client support at the appropriate time of the overall implementation cycle
  • Manage and lead smaller size projects
  • Deliver internal sessions on best practices and new functionality as well as features
  • Advise customers on best practices for CRM processes and user interface components

Key Measurements of Performance

  • Ability to code and carry out D365 development programming related to
  • PowerApps both Mode
  • SQL Integration Services and/or Scribe
  • SQL Reporting Services
  • SDK and/or Developers Toolkit
  • Programming languages such as C#, VB.net, ASP.NET, HTML, JavaScript, VSTO.
  • Active Directory, IIS, DNS
  • Windows 8, IOS and other mobile applications development

Required Skills and Experience

  • Hands-on professional experience within a consultancy environment
  • At least 2 end-to-end full life cycle implementations of Microsoft Dynamics 365
  • Sound knowledge of at least 3 of the following modules: Sales, Service, Marketing, Social Engagement, USD, PSA, Field Service, and/or MS Portals
  • Microsoft Dynamics CE Certifications strongly desired
  • Understanding of SharePoint integration with D365 CE
  • Exposure to Azure DevOps or other similar enterprise planning and delivery tools
  • Ability to work on Agile/Waterfall project delivery
  • Ability and a good level of knowledge with project tools such as Azure DevOps (TFS, VSTS)
  • Knowledge on Microsoft Flow, PowerApps, Dataverse and PowerBI
  • Good communication skills skills e.g. verbal, client demonstrations
  • Ability to balance short-term demands while maintaining the long-term vision needed to guide a customer through the implementation process
  • Ability to work with junior team members both in a project and practice context
  • Expected to be flexible with time and capable of working in a process-oriented environment
