AMER - Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O Retail Consultant


About the Position

PowerObjects is seeking a Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O Retail Consultant to join our award-winning and growing team. The Microsoft Dynamics 365 Retail Consultant will be responsible for implementing the Retail module of the Dynamics 365 application. The D365 Retail Consultant will have a wider understanding of business processes from a Retail, supply chain, distribution and trade, merchandising, and store operations perspective and will have a background of delivering large-scale ERP solutions.

Essential Functions

Work as a Lead Retail consultant on assigned engagements and assist with Product Go To Market Strategies
Take ownership of all aspects of the Retail module, working with the business stakeholders and managing successful delivery of the project or program
Provide proactive and reactive advice in an effort to ensure the best design Retail solution across multiple projects
Deliver and instill best practices on all Retail project deliverables, including technical approach and tool selection
Assist with kick-offs, requirement gathering, and knowledge transfer sessions; evaluate the client business processes and provide Business Requirement documentation
Analyze client requirements and objectives, suggest Business Re-Engineering processes, eliminate non-value addition processes, and derive how best the software can address clients’ business process
Work closely with clients and other team members to define, design, and align the business application to the business requirements
Configure and showcase Retail processes/systems per client business requirements, for example: Supply Chain Management, Inventory Management, Unified Commerce, Optimized Operations, etc.
Work on data migration activities with the Data team
Mentor other consultants in delivering according to client expectations while delivering successful completion of projects including documents, user manuals, etc.
Participate in the development of functional design documentation and technical specifications, unit and system test scripts, deployment plans, and also perform SIT testing
Facilitate functional sessions and weekly status meetings with clients
Conduct functional testing of modifications and sub-processes during the implementation process
Test and deploy Microsoft Dynamics 365 system; including executing the pilot/implementation/deployment of new requirements or enhancements to the Workday application and integration support
Engage with customer project managers and help define customer strategies and requirements
Guide customers through the implementation process, configure the application according to customer requirements and develop data conversion plans
Ensure delivery of high-quality services and products to customers
Work with customer to identify/resolve all issues that could impact project scope and/or timeframe

Required Skills and Experience

Degree in Computer Science or related discipline
Extensive professional work experience
3+ years of experience with Dynamics AX Retail is required with experience doing hands-on Configuration of Dynamics AX Retail
5+ years of experience with full lifecycle ERP implementations
5+ years consulting experience
Expert understanding of retail, merchandising, supply chain, and store operations concepts
Present Conference Room Pilot showing Dynamics to customer organizations
Advise customer organization on Retail Processes & Controls using Dynamics
Expertise preparing functional specification for customizations
Ability to act at a Program/Project manager level
Expertise to document business processes
Experience preparing User Manuals and Training Plans
Provide pre-go-live and post-go-live end-user support
Ability to understand, communicate, interpret Retail processes and requirements
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Ability/Experience to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives with minimal supervision

Desired Skills

MS Retail Certified / MS Certified
Experience working with and/or leading offshore teams
Exposure to other modules
Experience with Dynamics AX 2012
Experience with other D365 F&O applications such as Finance, AP, AR, MPP, Projects, and HR
Experience with Power BI
Experience with Power Apps
Omnichannel experience and third-party CMS solutions
