File records in CRM can be tricky. Have you ever had a requirement to upload files in Microsoft CRM that are not listed below? We just ran into this for a client and this is a quick little work around.
We ran into a requirement where some custom html pages are referencing a shockwave-flash (.swf) files. These html pages are integrated with Microsoft CRM and to use these effectively, we needed to also upload the .swf files.
Since we don't have the option to upload swf file to CRM, we renamed the files to .html and CRM allowed us to upload that file.
Then all we had to do was to modify the original html pages and change the references.
It worked!!
