PowerObjects, an HCL Technologies Company, Wins 2020 Global Microsoft Partner of the Year Award… Again!
We’ve got exciting news to share in today’s blogpost. On July 13, 2020, Microsoft announced their global Partner of the Year winners and finalists. We are pleased to report that we won one award and were a finalist for another!
The Microsoft Partner of the Year Awards recognize Microsoft partners that have developed and delivered exceptional Microsoft-based solutions during the past year. Awards are classified in several categories, with honorees chosen from a set of more than 3,300 submitted nominations from more than 100 countries worldwide.
We were named Microsoft’s global 2020 Proactive Customer Service Partner of the Year!
The Proactive Customer Service Partner of the Year Award recognizes a Microsoft partner that excels at providing innovative and unique customer solutions based on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Service. It demands a consistent demonstration of high-quality, predictable service to Microsoft customers, helping to ensure significant business benefits from their Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Service investments. Candidates also must display business leadership and sustained customer success, with strong growth in new customer additions and cloud revenue while maintaining and growing the existing customer base.
This is the second year in a row PowerObjects has won the Partner of the Year award devoted to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Service. Click here to view last year’s blogpost.
We were also named a Finalist for Microsoft’s global 2020 Financial Services Partner of the Year!
The Financial Services Partner of the Year Award recognizes a partner organization that excels at providing innovative and unique services or solutions based on Microsoft technologies to financial services customers, demonstrating thought leadership, industry knowledge and expertise, and consistent, high-quality services and solutions.
For obvious reasons, it’s been a difficult year for all of us – and we certainly acknowledge that there are more important things in the world than self-congratulations for industry awards. Having said that, this is truly the ultimate recognition for our business, and a true testament to the innovation and quality of work PowerObjects provides for our clients.
Five PowerObjects Solution Architects Awarded by Microsoft
The Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Business Applications channel is rich with annual awards at both a company and individual level. Avid readers of our blog know, for example, that PowerObjects earned two global Partner of the Year awards in 2019 (Financial Services and Dynamics 365 for Customer Service), as well as a 2019 US Partner of the Year award for Power Apps.
While we are certainly proud of the recognition we receive from Microsoft as a company, we are especially delighted when individuals within PowerObjects are recognized for their own unique expertise and contributions within the channel. One such individual award is handed out annually by Microsoft to solution architects. The FastTrack Recognized Solution Architect (FTRSA) award is a recognition conferred by the Microsoft Business Applications Engineering team upon practicing enterprise solution architects who consistently exhibit deep architecture expertise and create high quality solutions for customers during customer engagements. There are two categories for this award: one for Microsoft Dynamics 365 and one for Microsoft Power Platform.
For 2020, PowerObjects is excited to congratulate five employees who have been awarded the FTRSA distinction:
In North America, our Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement FTRSA award winners are:
Stephen Ronning (this is an award renewal, as he was also part of the 2019 class!)
We also have a North American Power Platform FTRSA winner:
Nghiem Doan – PowerApps
In the UK, we have two Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement FTRSA award winners:
The bar for winning these awards is a high one, so congratulations to these five individuals for this distinction – you inspire all of us to be the very best in the channel!

PowerObjects Receives MSUS Partner Award for PowerApps
Today we again take a short break from our regularly scheduled programming to share another nugget of exciting news: PowerObjects was recently given the MSUS Partner Award for Business Applications – PowerApps!
Microsoft US (MSUS) created the MSUS Award Program to recognize outstanding achievement by US partners, as well as to supplement the highly competitive global Microsoft Partner of the Year program. As you may recall, we were honored this year with two of the global Microsoft awards: 2019 Dynamics 365 for Customer Service Partner of the Year and 2019 Financial Services Partner of the Year. Adding the MSUS Partner Award for Power Apps makes us a 2019 award-winning Microsoft Partner… thrice!
According to Microsoft, winning this award means that PowerObjects has shown leadership in customer impact, solution innovation, deployment, and exceptional use of advanced features in Microsoft technologies over the past year. Our work reflects the dedication we have to our customers’ success and stands out as a model to other US Partners.
The MSUS Partner Award for Business Applications – Power Apps recognizes a partner that excels at providing innovative and unique IP built on top of the Microsoft Business Applications platform (Dynamics 365, CDS, PA, etc.). The recipient demonstrates success on a global scale by providing industry specific solutions that help customers transform their business in this digital age.
Examples of our Power Apps work are plentiful. Here are just a few…

A Tour of Our Partner of the Year Awards
Last week, we posted about the recent announcement from Microsoft that PowerObjects has been recognized with two 2019 global Partner of the Year Awards:
In today’s post, we thought we’d share a couple of examples of some of our Financial Services and Customer Service work!
Dynamics 365 for Customer Service: Sovereign Housing Association
With 56,000+ homes and 130,000+ customers and tenants, Sovereign is one of the largest housing associations in the U.K. They recently initiated a digital transformation strategy that included the implementation of modern, customer-focused, and scalable technology. Specifically, they sought a technology solution that would enhance the customer service being provided in the contact center, improve the tenancy management capabilities of the housing offices, and create efficiencies across all customer interactions. At the heart of the project was partnering with PowerObjects to deploy Dynamics 365.
Implementing Dynamics 365 was the obvious starting point, but the partnership between Sovereign and PowerObjects was especially focused on integrating Dynamics 365 with Sovereign’s multiple websites to introduce self-help options and enable tenants to fully engage in the management of their own homes.
Moneris Solutions Corporation (Moneris) is Canada’s largest processor of credit, debit, wireless, and online payment services for merchants in virtually every industry segment. They process more than three billion transactions annually. With more than 350,000 merchant locations throughout Canada, Moneris provides the hardware, software, and systems needed for organizations to improve business efficiencies and manage payments.
Moneris identified that their legacy ticket management system lacked the ability to scale into a full-fledged CRM. Their customer service representatives required more efficient processes and their knowledge base was not integrated into their other systems.
Through a partnership with PowerObjects, Moneris now uses Dynamics 365 for case management, field work order creation, approval management, customer notifications, marketing campaigns, sending surveys, social listening, knowledge articles, Unified Service Desk, and more. Since deploying Dynamics 365, they have seen a 4% reduction in average handle times and a 5% increase in first call resolution.
We will continue striving to deliver robust end-to-end solutions – like Sovereign and Moneris – that make PowerObjects worthy of our dual Partner of the Year status. Maybe your organization is next?
PowerObjects Named 2012 Microsoft Dynamics CRM Partner of the Year!
Out of the 100's of blog posts we push out each year (most are educational 🙂 ) – this is the most excited we have ever been to post. Microsoft has named us at PowerObjects their 2012 Microsoft Dynamics CRM Partner of the Year. We are incredibly honored and so grateful to our talented team, outstanding customers and, of course, our world class partner, Microsoft. Certain things in life require you to sit back and celebrate your success, and this is an accomplishment we will celebrate and do a little horn-tooting.
For those of you who we are lucky enough to partner with – it may be no surprise that this is a huge milestone for us. Back in 2008, we bet our business on one concept…to be 100% laser focused on driving success with Microsoft Dynamics CRM. This type of focus lets us concentrate on one thing, but more importantly, it reminds us daily what not to do!
When PowerObjects set off down this road, we put a stake in the ground as a rallying point to remind us on a daily basis where we were going. That proverbial stake was to be named the # 1 Microsoft Dynamics CRM partner in the world. Since that point, decisions have been made by asking ourselves, "Will this take us closer to our ultimate goal?" If the answer was no, it was a road we didn't take. For those of you also in IT, you understand the amount of shiny objects coming at us daily. In our hearts we are geeks, so it is 'oh so tempting' to go running after something in our constantly changing industry. Luckily for us, there is so much we can do with this single product that in some ways we feel like we are just scratching the surface.
Being #1 is not just about selling software. Sure that has to happen, but we also need to service our customers well, offer top notch support, create value every step of the way, and create raving fans out of our customers. We surround CRM with the four pillars we see as building blocks – Service – Support – Education – Add-ons. To provide the best service in the world, our support team and systems have to be second to none. We educate and give back to the Dynamics CRM community, and we create inexpensive add-ons that drive both value and user adoption.
So what do we do now that we have reached our goal? Well, we look at it like winning a Superbowl or getting a Best Picture – we can always win again! But no matter what happens in years to come, we will always have this award and know we are playing on a team that is the best in the world! We will take our winning team and keep our fanatical focus on Dynamics CRM, and keep helping our customers both large and small. We will stay true to our core values and use our success to continue to make Microsoft Dynamics CRM the #1 CRM platform in the world…..and we will do a little celebrating along the way 🙂
PowerObjects is happy to have such great Customers on Microsoft Dynamics CRM
So every now and then we like to blog about accomplishments, and this week our customers brought it home for us!
Last week at Convergence we were able to get up on stage with our wonderful customers and share in the success of some great projects. So much goes into a success like this it is impossible to thank everyone enough – and then to get to do it twice in the same year is really humbling.
To do what it takes to accomplish this type of award takes three things:
1 – A publisher (Microsoft) that produces top quality software 2 – A customer that is completely engaged in the project and behind the success 3 – A partner (PowerObjects J ) that is an expert in making MSCRM work
Without any part of this three legged stool you don't achieve this type of success. Below are some photo's we wanted to share from the awards luncheon.
Gold doesn’t always mean the same thing for Microsoft Dynamics CRM
This might not be big news out there for our customers – but something here at PowerObjects we will pound our chests about! Over the past year Microsoft has been reworking the partner program in an effort to distinguish Partners that are truly experts in certain areas. In the past, pretty much any partner you talked with could say they were "gold", there wasn't much that set one gold partner apart for another gold partner. The problem was that gold could be achieved in anything and truthfully it was mostly based around the number of technical people you had licensed in your organization. So if you were looking for someone to do your CRM system, you might reach out into the partner community and only look at Gold partners – but a group that might have dabbled in CRM and achieved gold based on a deep expertise in infrastructure looked no different than the gold partner that only does CRM (like PowerObjects)
So in the infinite wisdom of Microsoft (that's for our Microsoft readersJ) they have upped the ante to really becoming recognized as a top level partner with Microsoft. It is no longer just about a group of great technical people – not that they aren't important, but at the end of the day Microsoft wants and needs customers to be successful with their software and this takes more than smart developers….you need knowledgeable sales people, pre-sales people that live the technology, project managers that know how to bring success to a project, customers that vouch for your success, a dedication to the product line, and yes a bunch of really smart technical people.
PowerObjects has been following this transition very closely and made sure we came in at the highest level right out of the gates – hey it's all we do so we better be recognized as one of a handful of top ranked companies.
Big deal?!?! What does this mean to me?
A Consultant Looking for a Job – If you love Microsoft Dynamics CRM you’ve found an organization that loves it as much as you do.
An Organization Looking for a Partner – You are in good hands with PowerObjects when it comes to your Dynamics CRM needs. Our focus will make your project successful.
Consulting Company Looking for a Partner – We can add value with our focus on Microsoft Dynamics CRM, leverage our expertise to help bring your vertical solutions to the cloud.
Everyone else – Not really sure why you are reading this blog 😉
OK enough beating our chest for one day, but I'd like to congratulate the whole PowerObjects team on this accomplishment!
