PowerPack Support Tab

Post Author: Joe D365 |

PowerObjects is dedicated to its mission to always add value. Today we are happy to announce an enhancement that improves the support experience. This new experience connects the PowerPack team with the clients and customers who are seeking customer support services. Whether you’re asking a simple PowerPack question or looking for customer support assistance, the new Support enhancement makes its convenient to get in touch with the PowerPack team with just a few simple clicks. How?

Introducing the PowerPack Support Tab!

The PowerObjects R&D team has created a new way for clients to open PowerPack cases. It’s quicker, more convenient, and doesn’t involve logging in to our PowerCare portal. You can now simply open the PowerPack Configuration page, select the Support tab, and open a PowerPack case from Dynamics 365. Clicking the Get Help button launches a custom HTML page that dynamically pulls all system information. (Note that another way to have a case created is to click the Export button on the solutions tab, which creates an encrypted file with all the support page information. You can simply send that file to a PowerPack pro.)

Typically, once a PowerPack case is created, the PowerPack Pros will begin by asking for additional information, such as Org URL, Org ID, PowerPack version, etc. This process can be time consuming and frustrating. However, all of that information will now be auto populated! You can certainly change any information on this HTML page if needed – for example, if you want to add a different contact person.

To enjoy this new process, you’ll need to start by upgrading to the latest version of the PowerPack. You can navigate to our website and download the latest version of the solution - see instructions on how to upgrade a PowerPack.

Key Features:

  1. Org information such as version number, Org ID, OrgName, URL, and user count are all in one place.
  2. PowerPack name and version are auto populated.
  3. Convenience of not having to leave Dynamics 365 to open a PowerPack case.

This will make it easier for clients to open cases, and it will help the PowerPack team gather more important information when the case is originally created. We are happy to introduce new enhancements that make it easier for our clients to connect with us in a convenient and personalized way!

Happy PowerPacking!
