The Microsoft Social Listening integration has been available in CRM Online since the Spring Wave, but now these features are available for On-Premises customers. This exciting feature will allow Microsoft Social Listening subscribers to embed Social Insights like Buzz Volume, Sentiment, etc directly into their CRM!
In the CRM Online's Spring Wave release, configuration started with a simple drop down since it could tell where the Social Listening instance was provisioned. However, since on-premises isn't linked to Office 365, there are a few more steps.
Note: If you aren't already logged into Social Listening, you will get an error telling you to log in before you can test the URL
Once configured, adding the component to the dashboard is as simple as pressing the new icon to launch the wizard to add Social Insights. The Wizard has three steps: and selecting the Topic or Category and choosing visuals.
The actual controls are Iframe based, which allows for multiple controls on the same dashboard or form (each controlling different topics or charts).
