Mucking around with the Microsoft Dynamcis CRM site map is something that should be left to the experts - that's us. We've taken what we have learned and turned the basic navigation into a usable format that requires less clicks to get at the data you want.
This is an example of a sales force automation site map we use internally - yours may look different based on the business you're in, but instead of navigating first to a main catagory and then into the sub catagory, we have place everything in the "Workplace" area.
Another area that is difficult to show outside of a hosted demo is our best practices on CRM form layouts. We know what they look like out of the box and we know what they need to look like to be usable!
